MedHunterSwiss – Your doctor placement agency for all of Switzerland

We accompany you on your journey to new horizons – individually, tailor-made and sustainable.

The bridge is the perfect symbol for the services MedHunterSwiss offers. As a specialized recruitment agency, we place and support consultants, senior physicians, and chief physicians throughout Switzerland. Because we live and work in both Germany and Switzerland and have established ourselves as a physician recruitment agency, we have in-depth knowledge of both job markets. Thanks to our well-developed local network, we are intimately familiar with supply and demand – enabling us to provide targeted support as you transition into your new professional environment.

At the same time, the bridge also symbolizes the high standards we set for ourselves and our daily work. As a modern structure, it replaces the ferryman, creates new pathways, and represents a lasting, stable connection. It is crafted with meticulous precision – just like our placement services: individually tailored, based on close contact and mutual trust. Because when it comes to job placement, qualifications aren’t the only factor – the personal chemistry has to be right, too.

We possess both the cantonal permit and the SECO permit.

Who we are – a recruitment agency for the whole of Switzerland.

Thank you for your interest in our company.
On this page, I would like to give you a first impression of myself, the work of MedHunterSwiss, and the expertise behind it. Should you require any further information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me personally.

My life so far has taken me through various European countries. I have settled in Switzerland, both personally and professionally. I was born in the Netherlands, lived and worked in France for four years, and spent over five years (2015–2020) in Switzerland. I have since returned to Switzerland and hold both cantonal and SECO licenses for the placement of doctors in Switzerland.

MedHunterSwiss is the result of the experiences I have gained along this path. Experiences that I now use to enable physicians to transition as smoothly as possible to a different working environment in Switzerland, one that matches both their medical qualifications and their personality.

In 2010, I launched www.europework.eu, placing doctors from all over the world in Germany. Many of those doctors have since become specialists, senior physicians, or chief physicians. This very rewarding experience led me to focus even more on placing doctors within Switzerland with MedHunterSwiss.

I would be happy to use my own experiences of emigration and immigration to Switzerland to support you on your journey and in your career. I hope you will trust me to allow me to offer you advice and practical assistance.

Certificate of Good Conduct / HDZ Report

The Heart and Diabetes Center North Rhine-Westphalia (HDZ NRW) in Bad Oeynhausen is one of Europe’s leading medical centers and is considered the largest heart center on the continent. Founded in 1980, it has been part of the University Hospital of Ruhr University Bochum since 1989. Since 2023, it has also been affiliated with the OWL Faculty of Medicine at Bielefeld University.

The Heart and Diabetes Center NRW (HDZ NRW) is renowned for its outstanding expertise in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. It comprises five university hospitals, three university institutes, and other specialized facilities. Of particular note is that the center is Germany’s largest heart transplant center, having performed over 2,900 heart transplants since 1989.

A remarkable feature of the Heart and Diabetes Center NRW (HDZ NRW) is its use of innovative technologies. It is the only heart clinic in Europe to use a 3D heart hologram in the operating room. This technology allows surgeons to visualize a three-dimensional model of the heart, significantly improving precision and safety during complex procedures.

The center offers both inpatient and outpatient care and places great emphasis on combining high-performance medicine with a personal touch. It is an internationally recognized center that sets new standards not only in patient care, but also in research and teaching.

"Informal address culture" in hospitals and clinics

I was born in the Netherlands, where a “first-name basis” culture also prevails.

At that time, my business was still firmly established in the Netherlands. My first German employees, who optimized resumes for me, were German students studying psychology in the Netherlands. The German students were surprised by the informal atmosphere between students and professors at Dutch universities. While it was normal for Dutch students to address their professors by their first names, this was unthinkable for German students. But in the Netherlands, even the inhabitants address their king, Willem-Alexander, by his first name: most Dutch people don’t even know his family name, Van Oranje Nassau.

Therefore, I am very pleased that many hospitals and clinics in Switzerland are already promoting or practicing a culture of using first names. Please bear in mind that this informal culture may still be unfamiliar to the doctors we refer you to.

As you, as managing director, chief physician, head of human resources, HR officer, or recruiter, already know, the chemistry between people has to be right!

If the personal contact is right, then common paths can be opened and followed. This applies both to contact with us as a recruitment agency and with the doctors we introduce to you.

General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

We work exclusively on a success-fee basis and do not require exclusivity when placing an order.

Please feel free to contact us if you need a senior physician, head physician or chief physician for a specific department.

Only upon official commencement of employment are 50% of the placement fee due, and the remaining 50% after our clients have successfully completed their probationary period with you.
